Dump ideas for slightly more OP than usual fox
Probably impossible, but shining makes the last three locations shined at as well as the current point have a normal shine hitbox, multishine sheild pressure has never been more ridiculous
Side b- no startup
Fair- last hit has very high KB
Dair- Last hit is a strong spike
Lasers disrupt
Dthrow is a spike instaid of a meteor
Bthrow and fthrow have more hitstun, so bthrow/fthrow->shine is a combo
Uair- only the strong hit, but it comes out when the 1st hit normally does and does more damage

Multishine pressure can be made ridiculous by giving the attack more shield stun. That, unlike the shine thing, is possible, and more shield stun on shine would have other applications as well.
I'll mess around with your side-B, f-air, d-air, u-air and b-/d-throw ideas.
I don't know if lasers should disrupt. I mean, everyone should be broken, but I don't really want anything to be almost completely uncounterable. Fox's lasers having hitstun may be too much.

Maybe speed up lazer's fire rate? Short hop triple lazers everywhere.
As far as shine is concerned, while it should probably just be left alone you might want to look into making it bigger

Shine should definitely be left alone IMO. Buffing Fox's other tools will indirectly make shine much more effective. It's also already a very good move; it almost definitely wouldn't need to be buffed to be good in M-.

Yeah I would have much rather had it remain like it is than the size increase just kinda pulled that one out of my ass

Side B is the main move that needs to be buffed for some offensive capability

Ok the dopest update to fox would be to have it be IASA instead of just jump-cancelable when it goes into reflection mode. Shine fsmash.

Maybe adding the ability to shine during fox-illusion? This is a feature already present in Brawl Minus, and it would be cool to see in Melee. Also lasers shouldn't disrupt.

I think Fox Illusion/Falco Phantasm should have the same effect as the exploding knee on Falcon on the frame they become invisible. It would look like they're from Back to the Future. Also, Fox Illusion should have set knockback, similar to his shine, where it makes the opponent land near the end of the attack. Pair this along with the ability to cancel the landing lag, and you could do a side-b into any combo that starts with a shine.

^ I like that except just make illusion send people in a fire effect instead of a slashing effect.

Just a little something you could do to push the 20XX (30XX?) joke is to play the shine sound effect twice in quick succession (faster than a frame perfect double shine) for a single shine. That way normal play will sound as if you're really nailing your multishines and ACTUAL multishines will sound incredibly overwhelming. Possibly a bad idea, but it's an idea.

Lol this with the extra shine shield stun, so your opponent is like "RIP my shield, here comes the drill shines..."
