We all know what crouch cancelling is , and we all know how obnoxious getting CC shined is . I am thus suggesting we give characters more moves to break CCs, so that Fox and Falco are not the only characters who have a move equipped to easily break CC at 0 [unless CCing is just being removed, but I don't recall a statement to that effect - if there was one, ignore this post].
Some already have such a move [Peach], and others have ways around it [Link, sort of, and Sheik for sure], and all grabs break CCs, but I want to see more so that some characters are less shutdown by CC. I'm not familiar with all characters' anti-CC tools so I may suggest something that already occurs or is unneeded on a character but I don't think that's the case for many...
My suggestions off the top:
Fox/Falco/Sheik/Peach - no changes needed. Sheik could maybe have dsmash's first hit only break CCs [only front side] but I don't think she needs it.
Marth - no change needed, maybe tipper ftilt breaks CC?
Puff - bair breaks CCs? This might be super stupid... perhaps strong fair or strong nair instead?
Falcon - nair second hit breaks CCs? Or dair can't be CC'd? Not sure... maybe Raptor Boost [obviously not all of these]
ICs - solo dsmash breaks CCs [if it doesn't]. Otherwise I think they're fine.
Doc - fair breaks CCs if it doesn't, maybe have usmash break CCs? Dsmash breaking CCs on Doc more than it does strikes me as unnecessary. Also up+b breaks CCs please.
Pikachu - maybe have a strong bair hitbox [extra strong] at the start to break CCs?
Samus - her dsmash I think does already, if not it probably should along with dtilt [her specialty is CCing]. Maybe make her able to CC through some of this stuff as well [that is, only Samus can] as part of her buffs?
Ganondorf - his dtilt breaking CCs would be nice. Second hit nair maybe?
Luigi - usmash breaks CCs? Fair or dair breaks CCs? Green missile always breaking CCs would be kinda like him actually...
Mario - fair breaks CCs if it doesn't, all hits of fsmash break CCs?
Young Link - fsmash1 breaks CCs [sets up for fsmash 2 then I think]. Dtilt does too?
Link - dsmash breaks CCs. Dtilt does as well?
DK - dair/fair breaks CCs? perhaps backside of utilt could break CCs as well???
Yoshi - not sure about him, maybe dsmash breaking CCs?
Zelda - doesn't need anything if my lightning kick idea goes through [heh], but ftilt breaking CCs if it doesn't wouldn't be a bad idea.
Roy - dtilt breaks CCs [we PM now?] DED hit #2 (side+
breaks CCs as well. Sweetspot dair breaks CCs if it doesn't.
Mewtwo - ... ftilt breaks CCs? Not sure with him, he's always felt awkward to me. Fair breaks CCs if it doesn't?
GnW - maybe make him a CC breaker who can't CC at all? otherwise probably ftilt not CCable.
Ness - bair not CCable if it is, yo-yo can't be CC'd?
Bowser - dtilt's second hit can't be CC'd. Bair can't be CC'd.
Pichu - where do I start??? Nair can't be CC'd, dair can't be CC'd, and all its smash attacks can't be CC'd [though fsmash already kind of can't anyway]
Kirby - utilt can't be CC'd [heh]
I am assuming no significant moveset changes, so as movesets changes much of this might start to not make sense.
