it should be electric though shouldnt it? if you change it to a fire type move, be sure to lower the amount of hitstun, as electrical attacks have much greater hitstun than the other elements.(most elements in melee dont actually do anything, but electric attacks always cause above-average hitstun as well as knockback) sadly hitstun is based off of damage and the only way to change the hitstun of a move is to either make it electric or change the global hitstun. i agree that knee should be electric because of the hitstun but making this the sourspot is a good idea

The knee itself could remain electric, and the explosion could be a seperate entity.
Hitlag is based on damage correct? Is it possible to have a work around if you can say have a move do 60% but heal 40% the same frame? Sounds tacky on paper but if the percentage marker is fast enough it would function fine in practice if my guess is correct.

This is a rad idea, but if the hitlag changes, it would mess up timing/combos I think some options (if possible) are... - have the explosion effect only on soft knees/misses
- stack both the explosion and the electrical effects
- edit explosions to have the same hitlag (already seems unlikely)
