Stat wise, he needs to be a tiny bit faster and stronger but mostly heavier. He's a turtle, defense is his stuff. Characters receive less knock-back when they are crouching. One fun gimmick for bowser would be for this property to be taken to the extreme, with him going into his shell He would be grabbable and still take damage but get almost no knockback and it surely would not slow him down as much as a shield would. Fireball when tapping neutral B is cool too.

How about you just give Bowser a big-ass shield.
He's really going to need it for all the land canceled projectiles everywhere.

I like the idea of making bowser a fast faller, which would gimp his recovery in some aspects but makes him have a more interesting aerial game and makes him a SUPER bitch to kill.

changing stuff like horizontal and vertical velocity and stuff is doable.

I would reeeeeeeally love to see emphasis on him being extremely hard to KO. Think of a raid boss, he is extremely tanky, (massive weight) he hits hard, but has a major exploitable weakness: his recovery. Suddenly, Bowser becomes more about winning neutral game and maintaining stage control, rather than just being a fat, slow, underpowered lard ball. Give him lots of tools to help him dominate neutral game, such as:
-Two or more shield breaker moves -Higher speed -Large grab range -Super armor on several ground based attacks (smash attacks, etc.) -Turn his side-b into something akin to Ganon's flame choke

Make his jumpsquat invincible. Also extend the duration grounded up+B is invincible [I'm thinking like frames 1-15, in order to make trades (although infrequent) even harder to pull off].
Up+B OoS now a true dragon punch [or I guess it should be called a dinosaur spin]. Bowser already has a good OoS in his up+B, but I'd like to make it literally invincible since he's currently a slow tank.
Falcon's fair not KOing until over 100% from the ledge without DI would be awesome. Would be super annoying though [like, poor Roy], so maybe just make it over 100% with DI or something.

If I may offer a few ideas (it's my opinion, do with it what you will), I think Bowser should be generally heavier, a bit faster, and strong as the tank he is. Like, increase his damage output and knockback to some extent, and maybe make some of his moves faster? I don't know, really.
